And a Piece of my Childhood is Reclaimed
I originally saw Sugar or Plain on (I think) HBO, probably when I was 13 or 14. And despite ALLLLL the short videos that I've seen between now and then, this one stuck with me. I may have mentioned this to you - I finally remembered that YouTube might have it. (I was REALLY surprised to see Jim Belushi and Lance Kinsey in it - my brain said that Buck Henry had been knocking out the lights.) It's not a very good copy, and the source leaves on the closing parts of Image Union. (Anybody remember Image Union? It's more or less how you knew you were up too late. That paper cut-out guy sitting down was a sign to go to bed.) But I think of this sketch in ice-cream stores, of course - but I also think of it at any random time I have a three or four-deep decision tree to go through. DVD or CD? Director's Cut or Original? Blu-Ray or Standard? Widescreen or Pan-n-Scan? SUGAR OR PLAIN?
Enjoy. :)
Enjoy. :)
